The Works of Mercy
Matthew 25: 35-36
For I was hungry and you gave me food,
I was thirsty and you gave me drink,
a stranger and you welcomed me,
naked and you clothed me,
ill and you cared for me,
in prison and you visited me.

Mathew 7: 13-14 The Narrow Gate. “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many. How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few.
Mark 16:15-16 He said to them, “Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, whoever does not believe will be condemned.
In order to preach the Gospel, we must know the Gospel and Jesus. Jesus is the perfect example of obedience to His Father. Take up your cross and follow Jesus.

Live according to the Beatitudes.
The Beatitudes
The Beatitudes are the teachings of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:1-12). Jesus teaches us that if we live according to the Beatitudes, we will live a happy Christian life. The Beatitudes fulfill God’s promises made to Abraham and his descendants and describe the rewards that will be ours as loyal followers of Christ.
Blessed are the poor in spirit (Those who know they need God’s help), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven (They are part of God’s kingdom, their future is heaven).
Blessed are they who mourn (Those who are sorrowful for their sins), for they will be comforted (Jesus brings comfort to His people and forgives those who confess their sins and trust Him.)
Blessed are the meek (Those who are humble, not prideful and submit their strength to God’s control), for they will inherit the land (They will be part of Jesus’ kingdom on earth, forever and ever).
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness (Those who desire and maintain right relationships with God), for they will be satisfied (Jesus loves to fill his people with joy in being His followers).
Blessed are the merciful (Those who forgive), for they will be shown mercy (Jesus wants us to be merciful to other people because we know we also have to have His forgiveness).
Blessed are the clean in heart (Those who love God and want to please Him more than anything else), for they will see God (Those who believe in Jesus will be given a new life and are changed on the inside, so that they want to please God and will live with Him forever.)
Blessed are the peacemakers (Those who help people to know God and to be friends), for they will be called children of God (Bringing God’s peace to others is being like Jesus)
Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness (Those who are mistreated because they obey Jesus at any cost), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
